Tati was born in Lima, Peru during the rebel uprising of the Sendero Luminoso. Her family moved soon after to Los Angeles where she was raised. Married to a Mexican, granted Italian citizenship, and sharing dual citizenship with Peru and the US, Tati comes from a home of loud peoples who revel in storytelling. She values history and personal stories, striving to be an empathetic listener in her work and life.

Tati’s short film Vincent, starring Robert Longstreet, Michael Showalter and Alexia Rasmussen has played across the US festival circuit. Her short, Adirake, won the Jury Award at the Tribeca Film Festival and the Reel 13 short film competition on PBS. Tiempo al Tiempo, starring Arturo Castro and Jaime Tirelli, played across the world, screening at over twenty festivals.

She has directed work for Samsung, Google, Unilever, Anheuser-Busch International, FitBit and more, shooting internationally in over six countries with over a dozen brands. Tati co-creatively developed and directed a 4 part documentary television series and accompanying VR experiences called Beyond the Frame, as a Samsung and Viceland partnership and a 5 part series for ViceTV and TikTok exploring subcultures. With an MFA from NYU’s Graduate Film Program, Tati is inspired to explore storytelling in all its formats, with an interest in the blending of genres to find evocative ways of chronicling our lives.

She lives in Los Angeles and is currently writing her first feature about female friendship, motherhood and the search for personal meaning.

Say hello sometime.
